Our client a leader in the FMCG industry is looking  to employ a Junior Shift Manager with a Matric and a relevant Diploma / Degree and 1 year working experience and who is self sufficient while running a shift, takes ownership and responsibility to solve problems.  Able to manage a shift of 40 - 50 staff.  Incumbent MUST be able to work the 13h00 - 22h00 shift.

Key Outputs

Customer Service

Resolve store complaints quickly, whilst maintaining positive customer relations.

Making sound business decisions quickly, always keeping service in mind.

Maintains a friendly and courteous environment

Ensures that employees are clean and neat in appearance and adhering to the safety uniform code

Ensures that stock is delivered as per customer requirement, stock matches invoice.

Managing the Business

Manages Labour, by shift, within acceptable variances  and according to labour laws

Strong IR skills required.

Oversees production environment including inbound and outbound activity.

Maintains D.C cleanliness

Maintains staff productivity and throughput per shift

Sees that staff members are properly trained

Responds quickly and appropriately to resolve safety and security issues.

Sees that equipment is clean and working correctly, and responds quickly and appropriately when equipment is damaged and in need of repair.

 

Leading People

Acts as a role model by following appearance and procedural standards at all times.

Participates in D.C goal setting and is committed to achieving team goals.

Encourage other team members to maintain performance standards.

Provides constructive feedback to the Management team

Collaborates with team members to solve problems and make decisions.

Resolve conflicts and improve team member’s performance in a constructive manner and according to policies.

Communicates effectively, both written and orally, with team members.


Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Relevant Diploma / Degree
- 1 Year working experience with management experience
- Distribution/food supply environment
- Ability to calculate and analyze data
- Customer service skills required
- Basic business math and accounting skills
- Computer skills
